Bedford-Stuyvesant is one of Brooklyn’s celebrated neighborhoods with gorgeous brownstones, historic landmarks, fabulous architectures, tree-lined streets, magnificent churches, and bustling commercial corridors.

The Gates Cooperative is located at 566 Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant between Tompkins and Throop Avenue, which is very convenient to mass transit and is close to schools and parks. Subway: C at Throop/Fulton, A at Nostrand/Fulton, and G at Nostrand/Lafayette. Bus: B52 on Gates stops on the block and B43 goes up and down Tompkins and Throop. The Gates Cooperative is a couple blocks from Herbert Von King Park (formerly Tompkins Park).

Pratt Area Community Council (PACC) is the developer and property manager for The Gates Cooperative. PACC is one of Brooklyn’s premier Community Development Corporations with a 42-year history serving the Central Brooklyn neighborhoods of Fort Greene, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, and Crown Heights. PACC has developed over 800 units of housing and a has long track record of proficient property management. In addition to developing affordable housing, PACC engages in tenant and community organizing, homeowner services, and economic development. PACC helps Brooklyn residents achieve self-sufficiency, create a sense of community, and achieve overall neighborhood revitalization.
