Poisoning Prevention Education
PACC staff members are available to speak at day care
centers, after schools programs, PTA meetings, tenant and
block associations, churches and other community venues on
the consequences and the prevention of lead poisoning. We
also distribute informational brochures and materials from
the Department of Health.
To set up an appointment call Hector Rivera at (718)
522-2613 x 21 or Ewart Bowie at (718) 783-3549 x 16.
Lead
Testing
PACC staff and volunteers are certified by the Environmental
Protection Agency as Dust Swipe Lead Technicians to perform
lead dust testing in homes and apartments. We will come to
your home or apartment to test for lead and within one week
you will have the results. If you are an owner of a
multi-family building requiring certification a charge of
$50 per apartment will be charged. To make an appointment,
call Hector Rivera at (718) 522-2613 x 21.
